Alien Invasyndrome Storage and Corridors on Atlas
The connector rooms between Kitchen comfort and Security pressure
Why connectors deserve their own page
Most Atlas deaths in Alien Invasyndrome Demo do not happen in the named landmark you were proud of. They happen in the hallway you treated as empty. Developer notes from the mid-preview climb explicitly added Storage, Clinic Corridor, and Cafeteria Corridor in the same wave as cameras, soldiers, and desk hiding. This page is those connectors. Landmark rooms stay on Key Rooms. Deck identity stays on Decks.
Steam app 4603980, Mozu Field / 百舌鳥, Shady Corner Games. Adult 18+ stealth Demo. Full game TBA. 16 August 2026 refresh: public checkpoint still Demo 1.0 hotfix (5 May 2026). Your build may rename a corridor; match geometry, not fanfiction labels.
Storage room — job, traffic, abort
Job: A stash / service space that looks safe because it is not Kitchen. That is the trap. Storage is where players linger to “sort the nest in their head” while a camera or soldier re-checks the door.
Traffic: Short loops, stacked props, and furniture that is easy to enter and rude to leave. Flamethrower notes say objects can burn — do not pick the crate you just watched ignite (Security Soldiers).
Abort: Back to the corridor you entered, not deeper into stacked collision. If hide exits fail, Softlock Fixes.
Progress link: Use Storage as a nest-adjacent pause, not as a sightseeing wing. Colony rules: How to Nest, Nest Checklist.
Clinic Corridor — job, traffic, abort
Job: The medical-wing approach that decides whether Doctor is a timed exam or a wipe. Corridor cones are often longer than the Clinic bay itself.
Traffic: Door-frame checks, fewer continuous shadows than the bay, and desks that sit at bad stand-up angles. Hide literacy: How to Hide.
Abort: Retreat to the last Middle-deck junction you already cleared. Do not invent a third Clinic door.
Progress link: Clinic Doctor Route. If nest income is thin, do not force the corridor tonight.
Cafeteria Corridor — job, traffic, abort
Job: The open-floor on-ramp into Cafeteria traffic. Players who “already know Cafeteria” still die here because they start the crossing before the corridor cone turns.
Traffic: Wide sight lines, alarm-adjacent pressure later in the Demo (Drones and Alarms), and a temptation to diagonal through tables.
Abort: Wall-line reverse. Diagonal sprints are how one crew idle becomes a minute hide.
Progress link: Lab and Cafeteria Route after Clinic comfort. Practice the connector on Middle Deck Loop before Lab greed.
How connectors change nest commute math
A nest that looks “close” on a landmark map can be far once you count Storage + two corridors. Draw the commute as:
- Nest tile
- First connector (often Storage or a service hall)
- Landmark (Kitchen / Clinic / Cafeteria / Security)
- Same connectors home
If step 2 or 4 is a camera hallway, buy stealth reliability before vanity STR (Early Build, Trap Skill). Atlas Overview is the ship premise; this page is the tax between rooms.
Cameras in connectors
Cameras were added with these rooms. A connector camera is a timer, not scenery. Scout the far edge, hide, then cross in one burst. Pair with Stealth and Detection and Vents and Cover. If a soldier shares the hallway, you now have two timers (Security Soldiers).
Practice loop (connectors only)
- Kitchen silence crossing.
- Cafeteria Corridor wall-line, no floor diagonal.
- Storage enter / exit with a pre-chosen stand-up tile.
- Clinic Corridor scout, no Doctor commit.
- Return to nest. Stop.
Only after two clean loops should you allow Clinic or Security commits. Linear spine: Demo Walkthrough.
Demo vs full-ship connectors
Steam blurbs mention Top, Middle, and Lower decks and vents through the whole ship. The Demo slice may leave Lower connectors thin or missing. Do not invent a lower Storage that is not in your build. Roadmap talk about lower areas belongs on Demo Ending and Dev Progress, not on this map page as fake rooms.

Connectors are where Atlas charges the hide tax. Name Storage and the two corridors before you treat any landmark as “the next room.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.
What rooms were added with Storage in Alien Invasyndrome?
Mid-preview notes list Storage, Clinic Corridor, and Cafeteria Corridor together with cameras, soldiers, and desk hiding.
Should I nest inside Storage?
Treat Storage as a pause and commute node, not a forever camp. Confirm exits and camera timers first — see How to Nest.
Why do I keep dying before Clinic or Cafeteria?
The corridor is often harder than the room. Scout the connector as its own exam, then open Clinic Doctor Route or Lab and Cafeteria Route.
Do these corridors exist on every deck?
Demo access emphasizes Middle-deck connectors. Lower-deck expansion is roadmap language, not a promise in your current string.
Where do I practice connectors without committing Security?
Use the Middle Deck Loop drills, then return here for Storage and corridor notes.
