Alien Invasyndrome Title Screen, Skip Intro, and Early Saves
Confirm to skip the prologue, key 1 to recall a provisional save, then start clean
Why the title screen matters on Atlas
Alien Invasyndrome (Steam app 4603980, developer Mozu Field / 百舌鳥, publisher Shady Corner Games) is an 18+ stealth Demo. Many failed first hours are not “bad stealth” — they are players who never learned the title-screen affordances: skip the long opening, recall a provisional checkpoint, and start movement correctly. This page is mechanical only.
Full release remains TBA. Public checkpoint framing through mid-2026 still centers on Demo 1.0 hotfix (May 5, 2026) — confirm your Steam string on Changelog and Demo Scope. Hub: Controls Hub.
Skip the opening event (Confirm)
Preview-era notes and player practice agree: when the first entrance / prologue event starts, you can press Confirm to skip and reach playable Atlas faster. Exact prompt labels may be EN or JP depending on locale.
Practical rules:
- Wait until the event actually begins — mashing before the prompt exists does nothing useful.
- Press Confirm once (see Keyboard Controls for your bind).
- If UI text is unreadable, fix Locale Emulator before blaming a “broken skip.”
- Skipping does not delete the need to learn softlock and detection — jump straight into First Session drills.
Use skip when you are re-practicing Kitchen or Security, not when you still need the teaching beat once.
Provisional save and title-screen recall (key 1)
Developer guidance from earlier Demo threads: the game can save provisionally after the opening event concludes. To recall that save, press 1 on the title screen.
Treat this as a legacy / provisional affordance — not a promise of modern multi-slot RPG saves:
| Expectation | Reality check |
|---|---|
| “I have infinite mid-room saves” | Not guaranteed on Demo 1.0-era builds |
| “Key 1 always restores my nest” | Verify with a reload drill (Save and Progress) |
| “Title recall fixes crashes” | Crashes may still roll back — plan short sessions |
| “Forum save files help” | Never — official Steam only (Demo Access) |
Title-screen drill (3 minutes):
- Finish or skip opening so a provisional checkpoint can exist.
- Return to title.
- Press
1once; confirm you resume after opening, not a blank new larva. - Softlock once, nest bank once, quit, relaunch, test again.
- Log whether nest/skills survived — if not, shorten sessions and avoid Security greed.
If key 1 does nothing on your build, trust the live Demo over old notes and fall back to Steam’s restart hygiene. Document the version string before you assume a wiki typo.
Diagonal movement and early locomotion
Mid-preview updates enabled diagonal movement. On modern Demo builds you should assume 8-way movement unless your install proves otherwise.
Habits:
- Prefer diagonal peeks around door frames instead of square corner pops into cones.
- Do not diagonal-sprint across Cafeteria open floors — Drones and Alarms.
- Combine diagonals with charge literacy (Charge and Pounce): start windup only after the gap is open.
Bindings and stealth verbs: Stealth Actions.
First five minutes after title
- Title → Confirm skip (optional) or watch once.
- Key
1recall test if you already have a provisional save. - Desk enter/exit in a low-threat room (Softlock Fixes).
- One intentional hide minute with Detection Timer.
- Nest bank (How to Nest).
- Stop before Security if saves feel unsafe.
Larva identity: Alien Larva. Linear clear later: Demo Walkthrough.
Boss and Security note for title recalls
Security / boss segments may restart from room entry on death in older design notes — that is not the same as title-screen key 1. Do not confuse:
- Title
1— provisional post-opening recall - Security/boss area restart — local retry after a failed confrontation (Security Boss Prep, How to Beat the Boss)

Bottom line
Learn the title screen before you grind Atlas: Confirm skips the prologue, 1 may recall a provisional post-opening save, and diagonal movement changes how you peek doors. Verify every affordance on your Steam string — Demo persistence is still a trust-but-verify system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.
How do I skip the Alien Invasyndrome opening?
When the first entrance event starts, press Confirm once. Fix Locale Emulator first if you cannot read the prompt.
What does pressing 1 on the title screen do?
On builds that create a provisional save after the opening, key 1 recalls it. Always verify with a reload drill — it is not a full modern save menu.
Can I move diagonally?
Yes on builds that shipped diagonal movement. Use it for doorway peeks, not open-floor sprints.
Is title-screen save the same as a Security retry?
No. Title key 1 is provisional post-opening recall. Security/boss may restart from room entry after a fail — see Security Boss Prep.
Key 1 does nothing. Is the wiki wrong?
Possibly build drift. Note your Steam version, re-test, and use Save and Progress hygiene instead of unofficial saves.
