Alien Invasyndrome Age Rating and Steam Content Descriptors
How the adult tag affects store visibility, regional blocks, and wiki tone
The short version
Alien Invasyndrome is a 18+ adult-only Steam title. The Steam store payload for both the Demo (app 4830300) and the TBA full game (app 4603980) carries the following content descriptors from Steam’s adult-content taxonomy:
- Some Nudity or Sexual Content (descriptor 1)
- Adult Only Sexual Content (descriptor 3)
- Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content (descriptor 4)
- General Mature Content (descriptor 5)
Descriptors 3 and 4 trigger regional restrictions on Steam in some countries — see Region Restrictions for the CN, DE, SA block list as of the 24 August 2026 wiki re-check. Descriptors 1 and 5 are mature-but-not-restricted in most regions. The Demo is not family-friendly; the store page requires the buyer to enable adult content in their own account settings before rendering.

How Steam handles adult content
Steam layers adult content in three places:
- Account-level preference. Each user can hide adult content from the store, search, and community features. This is a user setting, not a regional one.
- Per-app content descriptor. Set by the publisher at submission. This is what gives the app its adult-only tag and triggers certain regional blocks.
- Regional restriction. Driven by local ratings boards (USK in Germany, GSRR in China, GCAM in Saudi Arabia). The publisher selects a regional restriction list when submitting the app payload.
The combination of descriptors 3 and 4 plus the publisher’s regional selection creates the country list you may run into when you try to load the store page.
What this means for different players
- Adult players with adult content enabled in their Steam account: the store page renders normally, the Demo can be wishlisted or installed, the regional restrictions still apply if you are in CN / DE / SA.
- Players with adult content disabled: the store page returns an “unavailable” notice until you enable adult content. This is your account filter, not a regional block.
- Players in restricted regions (CN / DE / SA): the store page returns “unavailable in your region” regardless of account settings. Enabling adult content will not change this.
The three cases look similar from the player side. Use the incognito check on Region Restrictions to disambiguate.
What this wiki covers (and does not)
The wiki stays mechanical. This means:
- We describe the Demo’s systems — stealth, nest, INT / STR, skill tree, route logic, softlock behaviour, detection timer.
- We describe adult content only when it gates progression — Doctor event timing, capture commit windows, scene pacing as a system.
- We do not transcribe or summarize adult scenes.
- We do not host scene walkthroughs, gallery content, or explicit guides.
This is consistent with how the game is marketed by its developer and publisher: the fantasy, the larva-as-protagonist framing, and the Atlas ship as the setting. The wiki exists to help players master the systems, not to catalog the 18+ content.
Adult content and the Family Sharing flag
The full-game store payload lists Family Sharing. Family Sharing is a Steam-level feature that allows eligible accounts in a household to share a purchased game. It is not a signal that the game is appropriate for minors — it is a Steam feature flag that may or may not be active on a given purchase depending on the publisher’s settings.
For Alien Invasyndrome, treat the Family Sharing flag as informational. Confirm the actual eligibility on your purchase if sharing is a concern, and respect the 18+ framing in your own household.
Adult content and Steam Cloud saves
Adult content does not change Steam Cloud save behaviour. The Demo’s save and resume quirks are documented in Save & Progress and Save File Location. Steam Cloud eligibility is a separate Steam-side flag set by the publisher; consult your library’s properties if cloud sync is a concern.
Adult content and the wiki’s regional block page
Players in restricted regions sometimes ask whether adult content is the cause of the block. The answer is yes-and-no:
- Yes, the descriptors (3) and (4) are why Germany (USK), China (GSRR), and Saudi Arabia (GCAM) flag the app.
- No, you cannot bypass the restriction by disabling your account’s adult-content filter. The block is enforced at the publisher-distribution contract level, not at your account-preference level.
See Region Restrictions for the disambiguation checklist.
What adult content is not in the Demo
A common confusion when reading Steam’s descriptor list:
- The descriptors cover the full game’s intended content, not necessarily the Demo slice. The Demo is a vertical slice; even if descriptors 3 and 4 are accurate for the eventual full release, the Demo may or may not contain the scenes those descriptors describe.
- Descriptors are not a scene catalog. They are publisher-acknowledged content classes. The Steam platform uses them for filtering and regional compliance, not as a content guide.
- The Demo’s age rating applies to the full game too, by Steam’s store-payload rule. When the full game ships, it will carry the same descriptor set unless the publisher submits a new payload.
This is why the wiki’s age-rating page describes the descriptors, not the scenes.
Adult content and accessibility
The Demo does not advertise a dedicated accessibility menu. Players report that disabling overlays, lowering render resolution, and using external large-text tools are the practical mitigation steps. The 18+ descriptor does not change the accessibility situation; both apply independently. See Performance & Settings for render knobs that help on low-spec hardware.
How to talk about adult content with younger players in your household
If you share a Steam account or household with younger players:
- Enable adult content per-account, not per-machine.
- Use Steam’s family view to gate store access on shared machines.
- Confirm purchase eligibility before sharing the Demo or TBA full game via Family Sharing.
This is household-advice, not legal advice. Steam’s own help pages have the canonical guidance.
What this page will not do
- Link or quote adult scene content.
- Document adult scene walkthroughs.
- Provide instructions to bypass regional blocks.
- Predict when the descriptors will change. The publisher sets descriptors at submission; we will update this page if a new payload arrives.

Bottom line
Alien Invasyndrome carries Steam descriptors 1, 3, 4, and 5 — adult-only sexual content with frequent nudity. This triggers regional restrictions in CN, DE, SA and a per-account adult-content preference filter for other regions. The wiki describes the systems and only references adult content when it gates progression. We do not catalog scenes. If you are in a restricted region, see Region Restrictions for the disambiguation checklist and the realistic next steps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.
What is the age rating for Alien Invasyndrome?
18+ adult-only. Steam descriptors are 1 (Some Nudity or Sexual Content), 3 (Adult Only Sexual Content), 4 (Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content), and 5 (General Mature Content).
Is Alien Invasyndrome restricted in my country?
Steam restricts distribution in CN, DE, and SA as of the 24 August 2026 check. See Region Restrictions for the disambiguation checklist.
Why is the store page hidden behind an adult-content toggle?
Steam's adult-content preference hides adult-only pages unless you opt in. That is an account-level filter, not a regional block. The two cases are easy to confuse.
Does this wiki contain adult scene walkthroughs?
No. We describe adult content only when it gates progression. Scene content is in the game; the wiki is a systems companion.
Will the descriptor set change when the full game ships?
The publisher sets descriptors at submission. We will update this page if a new payload with different descriptors arrives. As of the August 2026 check, the demo and full-game payloads carry the same descriptor set.
