Alien Invasyndrome Middle Deck Loop — Atlas Practice
Farm stealth habits on Middle deck before Clinic, Lab, or Security commits
Loop scope
This page defines a repeatable Middle deck practice loop on Atlas in the Alien Invasyndrome Steam Demo. Middle deck concentrates Kitchen, Cafeteria, Clinic, Laboratory, and Security-adjacent traffic — the training ground before you commit to wing routes. Pair with Decks for deck grammar and Key Rooms for room dossiers.
All content is 18+ adult stealth-action. Guidance here is mechanical only — no graphic adult detail.
Developer Mozu Field / 百舌鳥, publisher Shady Corner Games, Steam app 4603980. Full release TBA. Latest public Demo: 1.0 hotfix (May 2026). Hub: Map Hub. Walkthrough spine: Demo Walkthrough.
Why Middle deck loop exists
Players who jump straight from intro to Security treat Atlas like a maze. Middle deck loop teaches:
- Nest commute muscle without wing greed
- Kitchen adjacency reads before food-wing commits
- Detection recovery as a paid habit, not a restart trigger
- When to leave for Clinic, Lab, or Security with clean state
If Middle silence runs fail, Kitchen and Security will feel unfair — that is literacy gap, not difficulty lying.
Loop prerequisites
Before running the loop:
- Basic movement and hide — How to Play.
- At least one nest bank — How to Nest, Nest Checklist.
- Softlock on command — Stealth Actions, Keyboard.
- Detection minute understood — Stealth and Detection, Detection Timer.
- UI readable — Locale Emulator if needed.
Segment 1 — Nest commute anchor
Pick one Middle-adjacent nest and treat it as the loop hub. Every lap starts and ends here.
Rules:
- Return to nest after every successful slice, not after three rooms of greed.
- Do not relocate nest mid-loop until two clean laps complete.
- Spend skill points only when the next lap goal is declared — Skill Planner, Early Build.
Distant nests turn every Middle crossing into a parade. Kitchen-adjacent commutes win early Demo sessions.
Segment 2 — Kitchen adjacency crossing
Cross Kitchen-adjacent corridors twice per lap without a capture:
- Scout doorway from corridor shadow.
- Enter on a turn-away.
- Hug furniture edges; never center-floor sprint.
- Exit on quiet cycle.
Full Kitchen commits live on Kitchen Route. This loop segment is pathing only — goal is boring repetition.
If spotted, desk softlock and wait ~1 minute. Leaving early recreates the same wipe on the next lap.
Segment 3 — Cafeteria wall-line transit
Treat Cafeteria as connector, not camp:
- Cross along wall lines during far-table idle.
- No nesting, no captures on loop laps.
- Abort to entry shadow if a cone turns mid-cross.
Cafeteria detail when you graduate from loop to wing risk: Lab & Cafeteria Route.
Segment 4 — Detection recovery drill
Once per session, intentionally softlock after a spot or simulated penalty:
- Enter cover with pre-selected furniture.
- Wait full detection window with Detection Timer.
- Exit with peek, not hero stand-up.
- Return to nest commute.
Stuck states: Softlock Fixes. Intended hides are training; stuck UI is a bug class.
Segment 5 — Junction scout (no commit)
End each lap with a doorway scout only toward Clinic, Laboratory, or Security threshold:
- Clinic peek — Clinic Doctor Route
- Lab peek — Lab & Cafeteria Route
- Security door scout — Security Routes
Do not enter on loop laps. Scouting teaches patrol identity without wing consequences.
When to leave the loop
Graduate from Middle deck loop when two consecutive clean laps meet all of:
- Zero detection spirals across both laps
- Nest banked after each lap
- Kitchen adjacency crossings feel automatic
- You can name abort tiles at Clinic, Lab, and Security doors
Then choose one wing commit for the day:
| Goal today | Open this route |
|---|---|
| Medical pacing | Clinic Doctor Route |
| Optional Middle risk | Lab & Cafeteria Route |
| Demo gate | Security Routes |
| Post-Security cap | Boss Route |
Do not chain all wings because the loop felt easy. One commit, one bank, one stop.
Loop failure modes
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Re-spot every lap | Leaving hide early | Full ~1 min wait |
| Nest never grows | Skipping segment 1 returns | Bank every lap |
| Cafeteria wipes | Center cross | Wall-line only |
| Loop never ends | Tourism addiction | Enforce graduate table |
| Security feels unfair | Skipped loop entirely | Two clean laps first |
| Stuck under desk | True softlock | Softlock Fixes |
| Lost on Atlas | Deck literacy only | Atlas Overview |
INT vs STR during loop laps
Loop laps favor INT-leaning patience and stealth nodes. STR spends do not delete sight cones on Middle crossings. Hybrid builds still need softlock discipline first — Skill Tree, Evolution Paths.
Security and boss branches may want different stat emphasis; the loop stays stat-agnostic until you pick a wing.
Session script (15–25 minutes)
- Nest commute anchor set.
- Lap A: Kitchen adjacency ×2, Cafeteria cross, recovery drill, junction scout.
- Bank nest.
- Lap B: repeat identical path.
- Bank nest.
- Graduate to one wing route or stop.
Embedded video on this page shows full Demo loop gameplay — use for commute timing if patrols differ from memory. Patch drift: Changelog, Version History.
Demo scope
Middle deck loop reflects Demo 1.0 hotfix (May 2026) Middle traffic. Top and Lower decks have different tempo — see Decks. Full-release layout may expand; wishlist Steam 4603980 for announcements. Official access: Demo Access.

Middle deck loop is Atlas grammar practice. Boring laps build the nest commute, Kitchen reads, and detection recovery that Clinic, Lab, and Security routes assume you already own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.
How many laps before I leave the Middle deck loop?
Two consecutive clean laps with nest banks after each. Then pick one wing route for the day — Clinic, Lab, or Security.
Should I capture during loop laps?
No. Loop laps are pathing and recovery drills. Captures belong on wing routes like Kitchen Route after you graduate.
Why Kitchen adjacency instead of full Kitchen commits?
Adjacency crossings teach patrol reads without food-wing greed. Full Kitchen pacing is on Kitchen Route.
What if I get stuck under a desk during a lap?
Distinguish intended hide from stuck UI. Recovery steps: Softlock Fixes. Do not restart the Demo on every trap.
Does this loop replace the Demo Walkthrough?
No. It is optional Middle-deck practice before wing commits. Spine order: Demo Walkthrough → loop → wing routes.
