Alien Invasyndrome Community Discord and Patreon

What this page covers

Alien Invasyndrome has a small but active community centred on the Steam Demo (app 4830300, store date 24 July 2026). Players gather in a handful of channels, and each one has a different purpose. This page maps those channels by what they are actually used for, so you spend less time hunting for the right place to file a bug report, ask a question, or follow dev updates.

Developer Mozu Field / 百舌鳥, publisher Shady Corner Games, full game Steam app 4603980 still TBA. Hub: Guides Hub. Sibling: Wiki FAQ, Bugs & Known Issues, Patreon vs Steam.

Steam Discussions (the canonical channel)

Where: Steam Community → app 4603980 → Discussions tab.

What it is for:

  • Bug reports that come with a reproducible build string, room name, and steps.
  • General questions about the Demo (save quirks, region restrictions, achievement progress).
  • Feature requests and wishlist-level feedback.
  • Patch announcements from Steam News, when the developer publishes them.

What it is not for:

  • Adult scene discussion. Steam Community Guidelines cover that.
  • Piracy or APK mirror links. The Discussions moderators remove those.
  • Off-topic roleplay or persona content.

If you want one channel that survives long-term, this is it. Steam Discussions are searchable, public, and pinned at the top of the app’s Community page.

Steam News (announcements only)

Where: Steam Store → app 4603980 → News Hub.

What it is for:

  • Official patch announcements from the developer or publisher.
  • Demo store date changes (e.g. the 24 July 2026 store release).
  • Full-release date or pricing updates when they ship.

What it is not for:

  • Two-way conversation. Steam News is one-way; reply via Steam Discussions or the developer’s other channels.

As of the 24 August 2026 wiki re-check, Steam News for both app 4603980 and the Demo 4830300 has been sparse — the public content checkpoint remains the Demo 1.0 hotfix (May 5, 2026) nickname even though Steam published the Demo product in late July. See Changelog for the systems regression checklist and Version History for the build spine.

Patreon (developer-direct channel)

Where: Patreon → creator page for Mozu Field / 百舌鳥.

What it is for:

  • Higher-resolution development builds, when the developer shares them with patrons.
  • Behind-the-scenes notes and design discussion.
  • Patreon milestone framing for upcoming Demo or full-release content.

What it is not for:

  • A replacement for the Steam Demo. Patreon milestone numbers and Steam Demo build numbers can diverge. See Patreon vs Steam.
  • Free Demo access. Patreon is a creator-support tier; the Steam Demo is the legal free path.

Players often confuse “Patreon has Demo X.Y.Z” with “the Steam Demo is at X.Y.Z.” Trust your installed Steam build string over a Patreon post. If the build numbers differ, the Patreon build may contain content that has not yet shipped to Steam, or the Patreon numbering may be a content nickname rather than a Steam build number.

Discord (community-run, not developer-run)

Where: Discord servers hosted by community members. The Steam store page or Steam Discussions often pin an invite link.

What it is for:

  • Real-time help with softlock states, save resume quirks, and detection timer questions.
  • Build-share and route-share between runs.
  • Lore / scene-pacing discussion in line with the wiki’s mechanical tone.

What it is not for:

  • An official Mozu Field / Shady Corner Games help desk. Discord communities are run by players; the developer does not guarantee presence.
  • A source of truth for patch dates. Cross-check Discord claims against Steam News and Patreon posts.

If you join a community Discord, pin the rules channel and skim it once. Adult content descriptors and channel rules vary; respect the channel’s norms.

Reddit (search-friendly, slow-moving)

Where: Reddit → search for “Alien Invasyndrome”.

What it is for:

  • Long-form questions and guides from players who prefer Reddit’s threaded model.
  • Bug-report posts that aggregate across multiple Steam Discussions.
  • Discussion of similar titles (Alien Syndrome 1987, Alien franchise, indie stealth with adult content).

What it is not for:

  • Real-time help. Reddit threads move on a day-scale, not a minute-scale.
  • A primary source for store or Demo facts. Always confirm Reddit claims against the Steam store or the developer’s Patreon.

YouTube (long-form video, dated)

Where: YouTube → search for “Alien Invasyndrome Demo”.

What it is for:

  • Watching the larva loop in action when reading text descriptions is not enough.
  • Comparing older footage (0.65, 0.99) to the live Demo build.
  • Soundtrack and audio direction listening.

What it is not for:

  • Live patch info. YouTube videos are dated; trust Steam News and Steam Discussions for current state.
  • Adult content excerpts. YouTube’s content policies cover that; community videos may have content gating.

For audio-only listening without the visual layer, see Soundtrack and the wiki’s review pages.

Aggregators (SteamDB, IsThereAnyDeal, Steam Charts)

Where:

  • SteamDB for app 4830300 and 4603980 — store payload, regional restrictions, depot sizes, peak players.
  • IsThereAnyDeal — pricing for the TBA full release once it ships.
  • Steam Charts — concurrent player counts over time.

What they are for:

  • Confirming the regional restriction list (CN, DE, SA) without trusting a single wiki pass.
  • Watching player-count trends to know when a major patch just landed.
  • Cross-referencing store changes.

What they are not for:

  • A source of patch notes. Aggregators do not write the patch text; they reflect what Steam publishes.
  • A primary source for release dates. Steam News is canonical for that.

Wiki correctionThis wiki is read-only; use the wiki’s source-of-truth page (Wiki FAQ)

What this wiki does with community signals

The wiki reads Steam News, Steam Discussions, Patreon, and the wiki’s own last-verified pass when refreshing pages. We do not:

  • Host Discord screenshots.
  • Quote Reddit comments directly.
  • Link to community Discord servers (we do not vet them, and the wiki is a long-form resource, not a community portal).

If you want the channels themselves, Steam Discussions is the canonical entry point. From there, players trade invite links for Discord servers and Reddit threads in the appropriate subforum rules.

Adult content and community channels

Discord servers and Reddit threads for adult-only titles often split into SFW and NSFW channels. Respect the channel rules on whichever server you join. The wiki’s adult-content handling rule applies to community channels too: discuss systems, do not transcribe or link adult scene content.

What this page will not do

  • Pin or endorse a specific Discord server (community Discord invite links are user-managed; the wiki does not vet them).
  • Predict what the developer will announce next. We report verified state only.
  • Link to APK mirrors or repacks as community resources.

Bottom line

The community for Alien Invasyndrome is small but active. Steam Discussions is the canonical channel for bug reports and general questions; Steam News for announcements; Patreon for developer-direct notes (with build-number drift awareness); community Discord for real-time help; Reddit for long-form threads; YouTube for dated long-form video. Choose the channel that matches the question type, and trust Steam-published state over community claims for store facts and patch announcements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common Alien Invasyndrome questions.

Where is the official Alien Invasyndrome Discord?

Where do I file a reproducible Demo bug?

Steam Discussions for app 4603980 with your build string, room name, detection state, and reproduction steps. See Bugs & Known Issues for the report template.
